Nature at Comanche Springs

Comanche Springs  Astronomy  Equipment   Construction   Nature    Driving Directions

As the name Comanche Springs implies, our campus is located in an area that enjoys a rich history as a Comanche bison hunting grounds. A spring located just south of the campus dates back as far as recorded and spoken history in the area.

The 50 acre campus was donated to 3RF by the late Bettie B. Gafford from the McAdams ranch. Thanks to her passion for nature conservation, the campus enjoys rich biodiversity and healthy ecosystems. Additional land acquisitions will be short-coming as the campus grows in significant size and resources.

We will continue to conserve the biodiversity and ecosystems as we expand our science initiatives into ecology, biology, bird watching, and nature.
