3RF is currently engaged in the construction of three Pro-Domes ranging in size from ten to fifteen feet in diameter. (HomeDome.com) One Pro-Dome will be a dedicated solar observatory, another will house a Ritchey-Chrétien Cassegrain telescope specializing in deep space astrophotography, and the third will house a large refractor specializing in planetary imaging.

All three observatories will eventually operate robotically to allow student access from classrooms across the world.  We are also exploring an observing program that will allow the public to rent time on the scopes to pursue their observing and astrophotography interest.

When the Pro-Dome project is finished; the first two phases of construction at Comanche Spring Astronomy Campus will be complete.

There will be many future construction projects; so stay tuned to find out what 3RF will do next.
