3RF Mission Statement

To promote and foster arts and science education

Three Rivers Foundation for the Arts and Sciences (3RF) is a private educational foundation operating under the tax exempt status of a 501(c)(3) corporation. 3RF constructed the Three Rivers Ballroom in Quanah and Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus in Foard County (Crowell, Texas) to host unique educational programs. It is 3RF’s expressed desire to create a positive impact on the local economies with the interest generated by the educational programs underway at these venues.

As the name implies, Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus plays host to programs in the awe inspiring discipline of astronomy. This campus is home to a variety of observatories that house today’s cutting edge astronomy equipment. Due to its rugged location in the desert plains of Texas, Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus will evolve to encompass other areas of science education. With such facilities 3RF is meeting the need to increase science and math awareness among students.

The Three Rivers Ballroom is quickly becoming the premier venue for Western Swing concerts in north Texas. The Ballroom is located in historic downtown Quanah, Texas. In addition to swing, the Ballroom is home to classical concerts and select community events. With this venue and the recent purchases of world class musical instruments, including a Steinway Concert Grand Piano, 3RF wants to inspire the public to pursue their interest in music.
