invites you out to Comanche Springs for a night under the stars. The
dark skies of Big Ranch Country provide a spectacular view of the
universe. The party starts with solar observing followed by a break to
allow guest to enjoy a picnic dinner. Evening activities begin with a
short educational introduction to astronomy. The observatories and
Starfield are then opened to the public to enjoy the use of many
different kinds of astronomy instruments.
3RF is happy to provide tents and cots to those wanting to sleep
under the stars. We also have six RV sites on campus that are open for
reservation. The campus is equipped with a propane grill and a nice
shade tent. You will need to bring your own hotdogs. Campfires are
allowed only when conditions are appropriate and no one is observing.
