Comanche Springs is located in the middle of north Texas ranchlands.  Four Interstate Highways box in the area - I40, I35, I20, and I27.  US 287, 70, and 83 provide convenient access from the surrounding metro areas.  US 70 and State Road 6 meet in downtown Crowell.

Detailed Driving Directions from Crowell To Comanche Springs

0.0 1   Depart Main St, Crowell on US-70 [Commerce St] (West) for 10.1 mi
10.1   Bear LEFT (West) onto Ranch Road 654 Just before the TxDOT picnic area, for 4.3 mi
14.4Turn LEFT (South-East) just after second cattle guard into the Comanche Springs entrance, look for the 3RF Star, continue for 0.3 mi
14.7 3   Arrive at Comanche Springs grounds

Head west on Highway 70 out of Crowell.

Look for the highway sign on Highway 70, turn before the rest stop (in background)

Ranch Road 654 runs through active ranches.  Cattle roam freely in the section between the cattle guards.  Use caution after dark as black cattle are very hard to spot after dark!

Remember - Watch for cattle, deer, and pigs!  They roam freely on the road!

 

 

Look for the TXDot sign and 3RF star at the entrace!

 

 

Drive down the entrance gravel road through the gateway.

 

 

Continue on the gravel road past the play area, the tenting area, and the RV turn-around, then turn right and continue on to the parking area.
